Use Of Weapons
Author: Iain M. Banks
Genre: Sci-fi
Released: 01 March 1990
Rating:
Cheradenine Zakalwe is one of the Culture's most effective agents — a man hired to change the outcomes of wars and the fates of civilisations. The narrative moves in two directions at once: forward through his latest mission, and backward toward a secret in his past that explains everything. The third Culture novel is structurally daring and deeply dark, building toward one of science fiction's most disturbing reveals.
I just couldn't get into this one. The story feels disjointed and weird. I persevered until half way through chapter 9 (about 60% of the way through the book), but I couldn't go any further.
I think I need a break of the Culture series, so I'm gonna put this one away and maybe come back to it in the future.
