Utterly thrilled with the #F1 results. Won't say who just in case it spoils it for anyone. But well done, champ!

The frustrations with #Vivaldi continue. I realised last night after setting it up on my Pixel tablet that syncing doesn't really sync anything other than bookmarks and history. No settings are synced, so I still had to piss about changing my search engine etc.

Also, uBlock Lite can't be installed on my tablet, so I get ads in YouTube. That's enough to make me want to stop using it alone. 🤮

OK, I'm gonna try and give #Vivaldi a fair crack. I've set it as default on my laptop and phone, and will try and use it for the next week or so.

So I spent an hour stripping down this iMac I bought for my son so I could do an 8 > 16gb RAM upgrade. Turns out the bloody RAM is soldered onto the board on this version, despite the listing saying it was compatible with this model. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Ah well, it's running #UbuntuMate on a fresh SSD like a dream and Minecraft gets ~60 FPS. That's all he cares about.

We've been keeping one of our young hens in a dog crate in the conservatory for the last couple of days.

It's very friendly and likes to sit on my wife's shoulder when she's cleaning them out. Two days ago, the hen decided to peck and eat one of the (very expensive) diamond earrings I bought for my wife after we got married.

So now we wait for her to shit it out.

Been after a cheap computer for my son, so picked up a 2015 21.5" iMac for £80.

Eighty quid! I can't believe it. They used to be so much money! Hopefully it will run #ZorinOS 😳

Did legs and core in my little home gym for the first time in a loooooong time last night. Maybe an 8km walk in the hills with the dogs wasn't a great idea today! 🤣

Le sigh. I've been using #Firefox since 2005, but with the direction they're going maybe it's time for me to hedge my bets and consider pastures new.

Cancelling a VPS contract with #Ionos and they're forcing me to phone them before I'm allowed to cancel (no doubt so they can try and up-sell). I hate this kind of scummy tactic - doubt I'll be using them in the future.

Been thinking about setting up #Tailscale for accessing my #Synology off network. Just went to sign up, and you have to use a 3rd party SSO provider. I hate that. Why can't I just sign up with a bloody email address??

I have an algae problem in one of my tanks and it's very annoying. I've resorted to removing everything from the tank and submerging it all in Hydrogen Peroxide. Screw you, algae!

It feels like every other week I get an email from [service] that my subscription price has increased. 😡

I want to get rid of the stupid search bar #Pixel phones are forced to have on the home screen.

My iPad Air died a few months ago after many years of service, so I bought a secondhand Pixel Tablet. My god this thing is astonishingly bad, especially to type on - the keyboard is horrendous. Oh, and the fingerprint reader is in no man's land on the side of the device.

Really, really shit.

It came with the speaker dock, so I'm just gonna use it docked in the kitchen. Can anyone recommend a decent #Android tablet at around 7"?
