Proudly ruining the web since 2013.

It's a beautiful morning in north Wales, so instead of taking the dogs on their usual lead walk, we're up in the fields.

I think this also qualifies for day two: curve

Going down a website rabbit hole is just the best. It starts with a blog post that links to another post, I check their site - they have lots of great content.

Oooh there’s a blogroll…

An hour later I’ve added 5 more sites to my RSS reader and I now have hundreds of new posts to read.

I ♥️ the internet sometimes.

Around a year ago, I sold a project bike I'd just completed to my younger brother. It was a 22 year old Triumph Speed Four that I had fully restored (pic of the bike after the final "shake down" ride after finishing the project).

Last week, my brother took it to a Triumph specialist for its annual service and the mechanic commented on how it was one of the best condition Speed Fours he had ever seen. High praise indeed for my mechanical prowess. 🏍️

I just logged into my RSS reader and I see a number of unread posts from Jack Baty. That can only mean one thing...he switched platform again. 🤣

Youngest: [pointing to a sign that says "Chiropodist"] daaaad, what does that say?

Me: That says "shi-rop-oh-dist".

Him: What's that?

Me: it's someone who looks after people's feet.

Him: Random...

🤣🤣

Wife has some friends over.

Me: "I'm just going out to the garage. I'll be back in 10 mins."

2 hours later... 🤣

The cat and I don't really spend any time together as I'm not a cat person. She can be quite cute though.

Out of office is on, my laptop is shut down, and my work phone is off.

See you in a week, work! 🥳

I've been really struggling lately. I have very little motivation, and very few things are making me happy. I feel over-worked and under-appreciated, which is having a much bigger impact on me than I thought it would. I need to make some changes and pull myself out of this rut.

The single most frustrating thing about flipping from #iOS to #Android is that on iOS I can swipe from the either edge of the screen to go forward or back. On Android, for some stupid reason, swiping either way always goes back.

I'm really enjoying #Ubuntu, but the single most annoying thing is that a number of apps are blurry to the point of being unusable, thanks to fractional scaling. I believe it's a Wayland issue. 😟

Anyone know of a fix?

Another beautiful day in north Wales. Today's plan is to get on the 60 year old rotavator that I recently repaired, and chop up some grass ready for planting wild flowers in one of the fields. 🌷🌹🌻🪻

I love this time of year.
